Elisabeth W. Cady, 76 of Mercer, passed away at home on February 17, 2020. Elisabeth was born on January 11, 1944 in Bridgeport, CT. She was a very talented seamstress, having worked at Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus altering clothing for several celebrities and political figures over the years. In addition to sewing, she also enjoyed crocheting, the companionship of her dog, Shadow, and spending time with her family. Elisabeth is survived by her daughter, Lisa Minich and husband Mathew of Greenville, grandchildren Krista Kessler and Nickolas Saylor, and a sister, Demi Milo. Elisabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Lionel and Cecelia Miller, and her son, Wayne R. “Robbie” Thompson, Jr. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Homes, Stoneboro & Sandy Lake. There will be no public services as per Elisabeth’s wishes. Memorials may be made in Elisabeth’s name to Black Funeral Home, PO Box 245, Stoneboro, PA 16153 to help defray funeral expenses.
