Linda Jean Egger

Linda Jean Egger, 75 of Jackson Center, passed away on August 26, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. Linda was born in Jackson Township on November 22, 1944 to the late Carl L and Sadie (Faulconbridge) Weaver. She was a graduate of Lakeview High School and worked for many years as a Clerk for the US Postal Service. Linda loved animals, especially her cats and other pets. She enjoyed nature and birdwatching. She was an avid reader and would attend monthly lunches with her many cousins. She also enjoyed being a member of her local card club, having been playing with the same club for over 50 years. Linda married her beloved husband, George Andrew Egger on March 2, 1963, he survives at home. Linda is also survived by her sons, Andrew Egger and wife Elizabeth of Erie, and George Egger of Sandy Lake, grandson Andrew Egger of Erie, two brothers Rick Weaver and wife Sharon and James Weaver and wife Janet, all of Jackson Center, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her sisters, Connie Weaver and Barbara Strouss. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Home of Sandy Lake, 3236 S. Main Street, where family and friends are welcome from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm on Friday, August 28 and 10-11 on Saturday, August 29. A funeral service will follow at 11 am. Interment will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorials can be made in Linda’s name to the Lakeview Area Public Library, 3265 S. Main St., Sandy Lake, PA 16145.
