Marilyn J. Black Weaver, age 88, passed away on August 20, 2023 at St. Paul’s in Greenville. Marilyn was born on September 5, 1934 to the late Grant and Muriel (Mushrush) McMurray. She worked for 20+ years as an Aide at the former Mercer County Home in Mercer. She enjoyed traveling and experiencing new places. She was an avid reader and loved listening to many different styles of music. She always loved reading the newspaper and completing the crossword puzzles. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Marilyn married her beloved husband: Russell Weaver on April 23, 1981. He preceded her in death.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Joyce (Tom) Black-Woerz; Connie (Ken) Black-Rollins; Karen Black, and Jeff (Star) Black, three step-sons: Ray; Randy; and Ken Weaver, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, half-sister: Muriel Earley Hughes, half-brother: Michael Baker, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her son: Terry Lewis Black, daughter: Cheryl Black Luke, and sister: Lynn Molnar.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, where visitation will be from 1 pm – 3 pm on Saturday, August 26.
