Nancy L. Fowler

Nancy L. Fowler, 79, of Meadville, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023, at UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh.

She was born February 17, 1944, in Meadville, a daughter of H. Neal and Violet Plattner Britton.  She married Kenton Fowler in June 1968.

Nancy was a 1962 graduate of Randolph East Mead High School and was employed as head bookkeeper at First National Bank for several years.  She was a member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church. Nancy was a very devoted mother to her handicapped daughter, Jodi, who passed away five years ago.

Survivors, in addition to her husband Kenton, include two brothers, Neal Britton (Debra) of Chapmanville and Douglas Britton (Patricia) of Meadville; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Clayton; a daughter, Jodi; and a sister, Sherry Britton.

A private funeral service will be at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE with the Rev. Alice McClymonds officiating.

Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
