Phyllis C Cook, 95, of Kinsman, OH, passed away on October 29, 2023 and is at last together again with her late husband, Thomas “Pappy” Cook. Phyllis was born to the late Elizabeth L Sifton & Michael Andrews on January 14, 1928 in Keister, PA, Fayette County.
Phyllis worked at Target prior to her retirement, but spent her life taking care of people in the comfort of her own home. Phyllis was very devoted to her faith, and was a lifelong member of the Cortland Church of the Nazarene. She loved being outdoors tending to her garden and her flowers. She also enjoyed taking rides enjoying the scenery. She was a talented baker always making treats for friends, family, and visitors. Most of all she adored her family and spending time with them.
She married her beloved husband: Thomas “Pappy” Cook on June 30, 1946. He preceded her in death on February 5, 2009.
Left to cherish her memory is her son: Charles (Catherine) Cook of Kinsman, OH, grandchildren: Tristy (John) Pigg; and Dwayne (Robin) Nye, great-grandchildren: Jeffrey; Jason; Charlie; Pete; Autumn; and Helen, six great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her children: Catherine Miller and Charlene Martin, great-grandson: J.J. Pigg, and her numerous brothers and sisters.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose And Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc, 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro. Visitation will be from 12 pm – 1 pm on Friday, November 3. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Fred Blauser, retired pastor of Cortland Church of the Nazarene, officiating.
Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
