Sharon K. Wykoff, 69, of Meadville, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Meadville Medical Center surrounded by her loving family following a courageous and long battle with cancer.
She was born April 26, 1954, in Franklin, a daughter of G. Paul and Helen Wilson Boughner. She married William A. (Bill) Wykoff December 30, 1978, and he preceded her in death December 14, 2022.
Sharon was a 1972 graduate of Cochranton High School. She worked at K-Mart for 38 years in various roles, retiring as up-front manager. She was a member of VFW Post 2006 auxiliary, Saegertown American Legion Post 205, and West Mead 2 Fire Hall. Sharon loved spending time on Canadohta Lake, her happy place, especially on the pontoon boat and was affectionately known as “Lake Grandma” by her granddaughters.
Survivors include a son, William (Bud) Wykoff (Catherine) of Herndon, VA; twin granddaughters, Sarah Jean & Kaitlin Ann Wykoff; her companion, Gary Belfiore of Meadville; a brother, Warren Boughner (Patricia Drazina) of Cochranton; a brother-in-law, Steve Reitz of Saegertown; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Reitz.
Calling hours will be Monday, October 30 from 4-7 p.m. and Tuesday, October 31 from 10-11 a.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE
The funeral service will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Ron Brown officiating.
Interment will be in Cochranton Cemetery.
