Victor LaRosa, Jr. Obituary

Victor LaRosa Jr., 91, of Slippery Rock, passed away on February 29, 2024 at the Grove Manor in Grove City, PA.

He was born on November 6, 1932 in Schenectady, New York, to the late Vito LaRosa and Mary (Costa) LaRosa. He worked most of his life as an office manager for Greyhound. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict. He married his beloved wife Mary (McGowan) LaRosa on October 21, 1952. She preceded him in death on November 16, 2006.

Victor was a devout member of St. Faustina Parish, St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Slippery Rock. He enjoyed the outdoors, spending his spare time fishing and golfing. He found joy through dancing and singing, watching movies, and going out to eat. Most of all, he loved his family; he spent lots of time with his grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Victor LaRosa of Grove City, Patti (Eric) McElroy of Grove City, Joe (Terri) LaRosa of Arizona, and James (Mariannina) LaRosa of Boyers, his grandchildren, Steven, Victoria, Stacy, Jeffrey, Robert, Michelle, Jessica, and Samantha, 15 great-grandchildren, son-in-law Steve Chalenor, sister Mary Ann Sniffen, and his long-time companion Peg Arblaster.

In addition to his wife Mary and his parents, Victor was preceded in death by his daughter Kathleen Chalenor, daughter-in-law Sue LaRosa, long-time companion Naomi Donaldson, and his 7 siblings.
