William C. “Bill” Kreiling, 80 of Conneaut Lake, passed away on October 2, 2023. Bill was born in Uniontown, PA on September 15, 1943 to the late Carl S. and Genevieve E. (Harmany) Kreiling. He retired from General Motors as Vice President of Automotive Accessories. Bill proudly served his Country in the United States Army in the 82nd Airborne.
Bill was a longtime member of the Presbyterian Church of Conneaut Lake, serving on church session for many years. He also ran Bingo for Conneaut Lake Fire Department for 30+ years. He was a member of the Conneaut Lake American Legion and a member of the Free & Accepted Masons. He was an NCAA Football Official for the MAC conference.
In his spare time he enjoyed being the president of the Shady Avenue HOA and was referred to as “The King”. He loved living and spending time on Conneaut Lake and relaxing on the dock. He also loved tinkering with boats and cars. Most of all he loved his family.
Bill married his wife: Margaret (Kushing) Kreiling, on June 25, 2016. She survives. He is also survived by his children: Dr. Jill Kreiling (Dr. Robbert Creton) of Rhode Island; and Karen Santrock (Dr. Robert Santrock) of Florida, step-children: Michelle (Vinnie) Furman of Ohio; Jim (Caroline) Ginther of Ohio; and Greg Ginther (Rose Garson) of Massachusetts, and grandchildren: Annika Creton of Glasgow, Scotland; Eric Creton of New York; Sarah Santrock of West Virginia; Rachel Santrock of South Carolina; and Joey Santrock of Florida.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to WAID-COLEMAN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 12422 Conneaut Lake Rd, Conneaut Lake, where visitation will be from 3 pm – 7 pm on Friday, October 6. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, October 7, at 11 am with the Rev. Sam Heagy, officiating.
